A to Z Meme

So I know these Meme's aren't the coolest things in the blogging world, but I thought I'd give it a shot.  I still feel like I am kind of introducing myself to the internets, so this might help a bit.  I really like reading them when I find them as well.  It reminds me of all the quizzes in the old Seventeen magazines.

I saw this one on Bored Mommy Blog. So here goes...

A. Age: 33
B. Bed size: King, necessary after the first baby was born.
C. Chore you dislike: Cleaning bathrooms, so I really need to elaborate on that one?!? But I love to vacuum, I know, I'm strange.
D. Dogs: 2, one Queensland/McNabb mix, his name is Tucker and he thinking the sky is going to fall down if you crinkle a plastic bag near him.  One terrier mix, his name is Gus and he is a rescue found in our neighborhood.  We never thought we would be "small" dog people, but he quickly made himself quite at home.
E. Essential start to your day: Shower and hot black tea.
F. Favorite color: Purple.
G. Gold or silver: Silver.  I'd love to cash in on the gold parties going on, but I really only own silver or platinum.....
H. Height: 5′ 6″
I. Instruments you play(ED): clarinet through 8th grade.  High school scared me with the whole band geek thing, so I quit and went to yearbook (nerdy all the same).
J. Job title: Puchasing Agent
K. Kids: 2, (almost) 6 year old son W and (almost) 3 year old daughter A.
L. Live: Northern California
M. Mom’s name: Lois

R. Righty or Lefty: Righty.
S. Siblings: One older Sister, we are great friends now, growing up, notsomuch.
T. Time you wake up: 5:40 am to leave the house by 7:30 with 2 kids.
U. Underwear: At first I took this as what kind, so thong, but then I wondered if it meant, yes or now, so YES, definately yes.
V. Vegetables you don’t like: Not keen on cooked spinach, love it raw though.  I like most all.
W. What makes you run late: Kids, always the kids not wanting to leave or get dressed or cooperate.
X. X-rays you’ve had: Mouth/teeth, ribs, feet.
Y. Yummy food you make: Actually, I cook a lot.  I get most compliments on my desserts, lemon bars and pies.

Flashback Friday

I know, I am going a bit crazy, 2 posts today.  So, flashback Friday, each of my littles at one year old.

W - 1/2007

A - 12/2009

I love looking back in the files, so fun!

Happy Friday

I am certainly not a photographer and will never pretend to be.  This is a crappy cell phone picture, but sums up my 2 perfectly.  A was following me around "take a picture, take a picture", then all the sudden, W makes an appearance.  All this while dinner was (most likely over-cooking) on the stove.  The night quickly fell apart when dinner took too long and was too spicy and I made them bean burritos.  Is it bad my kids eat bean burritos AT LEAST once a week?  Then A face-planted on the hardwood floor.  Just another night at our house.
Happy Friday everyone.

Here goes nothing.....

OK, so this is my first post.  Not sure if anyone will even read.  For now, I won't super publicize that I have a blog to those I see on a day to day basis.  I would like a place to just be me.  I have had this set up in Blogger for over a year now.  I was encouraged by Jamie to JUST DO IT.  I think I will take her up on that and see how it goes.
I am more than encouraged with all the wonderful women I have "met" (and stalked) on this grand old Internet.  It is still a bit of a strange concept to feel such a kindred spirit with women across the country.  But it comes down to us all being real people that run into the same struggles as Moms, wives, sisters and friends.  I have unruly children that can also be as sweet as pie.  I have dirty bathrooms and fingerprints on the appliances.  I have guilt for working full time outside of the house, but I also count the minutes until drop off at times.
I don't plan on becoming the next Pioneer Woman, Dooce, etc.  Just me, Mom of 2, wife to my best friend and a chick that loves to be domestic (at times).

Also, I am cluless on this blogger and format thing.  I know that will kill all of you lovely design minded folks.  Sorry, I'll work on it.....
